Tuition 

 

School tuition is based on the per-pupil cost of education. The more students the school can attract and retain, the lower the per-pupil cost. The actual cost of education is based on local costs, subsidized by sacrificing faculty and staff who work at lower than market wages. The announced tuition is, until a school reaches target enrollment, a tuition subsidized by considerable fundraising. The actual parent tuition is the announced cost minus Scrip credits, assistance grants from the Parish Tuition Assistance fund and grants from EITC credits businesses designate from state taxes.

 

Parents may apply for tuition assistance using a third party company called FACTS. Applications are encouraged online with documentation to follow. A complex formula is applied to all applications and results regarding ability to pay are submitted to the Office for Catholic Schools at the Diocese of Greensburg. For maximum consideration, existing parents should apply by March 15. Tuition assistance funds available vary each year with parish collections, interest rates and government programs.

 

Tuition assistance funds are reserved for full day students. However, a pre-kindergarten student may be eligible for EITC grant money based on income criteria.

 

Payment of tuition must be submitted to accordance with the payment schedule established at the time of admission. In the event of a failure to make timely payment tuition, the student may become ineligible to attend school.

 

Enrollment is dependent on tuition payment. It is the responsibility of the parent.

If a student transfers to another school, due to a move from the Queen of Angels area, tuition may be refunded on a pro-rated basis. Arrangements for any such refund should be made through school administration.

Sixty-seven percent of our families received financial tuition assistance in 2008-09, an average tuition paid per child was $2,102.

The $75 per family registration fee is NON REFUNDABLE.
