Admission Guidelines
Queen of Angels Catholic School adheres to the age requirements of the local public school. Any child who reaches the age of five by the local public school district cut-off date or September 1 of the current school year, whichever is later, may be admitted to kindergarten, unless there is evidence that the child is not ready to begin.
Any child who reaches the age of six by the local public school district cut-off date or September 1 of the current school year, whichever is later, may be admitted to the first grade unless there is evidence that the child is not ready to begin. Parents and/or guardians must accompany the child to school for purposes of application and verification of residency. Toddler two and pre-kindergarten students will meet program entrance requirements as described by Queen of Angels.
Applications will be accepted in winter of the year for the following school term. However, students are accepted on an ongoing basis. On the date of application, the following documents must be presented:
V Birth certificate or copy of certificate.
V Baptismal certificate (if applicable).
V Immunization record.
V If living with a person other than a parent, verification of residence and guardianship.
In the event the child resides with a person other than the parent or legal guardian, a conference with the school principal may be necessary for verification of residence.
Queen of Angels welcomes children of all races, colors, or national origins. While we primarily serve the children of our local Catholic parishes, children of any religious background are welcome to apply.
